DREAMING

I had a dream of this artwork. There was a young boy waking up in bed out in the thick of the forest, rain, caressing his face and the cool spirited air enveloping his frame whilst snug under covers. This is not how the finished artwork ended up shaping but the funny thing about dreams, they don't always end up how they seem.

Even though the vision I had initially for this artwork didn’t come to fruition doesn’t mean that the end results still isn't as beautiful or perhaps even more so than what the original idea was.

As Jim Carrey says, "Don't worry if you miss your cue, there will always be another door opening. They keep opening." I believe this to be true for dreams. They never quite happen in the way you expect but that's the beauty of it.

So expect the unexpected.

It is printed on archival paper. It is encased in a clear archival plastic sleeve and recycled backboard. drawn in procreate using an iPad Pro. The artwork will sometimes look different from the original artwork such as more saturated colours or various colour differences.
